New commercial gas connections are being processed on imported RLNG (Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas) tariff. However, the standalone Roti Tandoor are presently provided commercial connection on indigenous (local) gas if they meet the pre-requisite criteria, i.e. being an exclusive Roti Tandoor business and other parameters.

Following are the salient features/steps for processing of commercial gas connections:

• Application for commercial gas connection can be submitted on prescribed form at nearest regional office / sub office / customer services center. • For facilitation of the valued customers, SNGPL has also introduced system of online submission of applications through website for submission of application for commercial gas connections. In case of submission of application through website, follow the directions given therein. The prescribed application form should be properly filled in (CAPITAL LETTERS) accompanied with the following documents:
  1. Application Form – Signed
  2. Copy of Electricity Bill
  3. Copy of Neighbouring Gas Bill
  4. NTN Certificate/ACTIVE TAX PAYER/FILER (Mandatory)
  5. Copy of Property Documents (PT-1, Registry etc.)
  6. Copy of CNIC of the applicant
  7. Letter Head (If available)
  8. NOC of Land Lord (In case of rental agreement)
  9. Copy of Rental Agreement (in case of rental premises)
  10. Affidavit for Sole Proprietor on Rs.100 non judicial Stamp Paper (specimen attached with application form). For Company, Memorandum/Articles with letter of signatory is required.

Acknowledgement Receipt of application will be issued. This receipt will be used for any subsequent reference or query regarding the status of application.

House Line Survey

• In the next phase, Company's representative will visit the premises on turn/merit basis to ascertain feasibility and assessment of required load, for issuance of proposal letter.
• House Line Plan will be designed at the time of site visit by the Company's representative, if it is technically/operationally feasible to provide gas supply.

Issuance of Demand Notice / Proposal Letter

• A Demand Notice/ Proposal Letter (DNPL) will be issued along with House Line plan and a list of Company's registered houseline installation contractors for the region. The applicant may arrange installation/ testing of the houseline at his/her own cost and risk, from any contractor enlisted for the region where premises is situated.

• Initial Security will be calculated on the basis of estimated consumption and working hours and service line charges will be calculated on the basis of length of required line pipe and other materials.

House Line Installation

• House line installation is the responsibility of the consumers at his own cost and risk. However, in order to make skilled manpower available to prospective and existing consumers for installation/modification of gas houseline within the Consumer's premises, SNGPL has enlisted low and high pressure houseline contractors. The applicants are required to arrange installation/testing of houseline from the enlisted contractors and furnish a certificate issued from the contractor along with signed contract to SNGPL.

Deposit of Security and Service Line Charges

• The applicant is required to sign the RLNG Supply contract and visit nearest regional office / sub office / customer services center along with signed contract, House Line Plan, House Line Installation Certificate, copy of CNIC and property document etc to obtain challan form/bill for deposit of security amount, service line and other charges (if applicable).

• The applicant is required to deposit security amount, service line charges, and other charges (if applicable), at the designated bank of the Company / online channels against a proper receipt.

• Receipt issued by the bank for deposit of security amount and service line cost etc is an important document and should be kept in safe custody. SNGPL can demand/view this receipt at any time.

• Amount of demand notices is deposited in banks/online payment channels only. No person/representative whether inside or outside the office of SNGPL, is authorized to collect any amount from the applicants in cash.

Gas Connection

• Gas connection will be made available on "first come first served basis" after fulfilment of the above pre-requisites.

Warning

Please don't pay anything to any agent/tout or contractor to expedite the laid down procedure and process. It is wastage of your money and legally actionable. Any such attempt for early connection is a moral crime as well and the connection so obtained is liable to be removed. It is also to mention that irrelevant persons in the society may dodge you and manage illegal connection which may ultimately put you in embarrassing situation as Company lodged FIR in such cases. We should discourage corrupt practices jointly. Together we can stop corruption in the country.
